Say it. Make it a draft. Chinese and English, in one flow.

Draft messages, emails and notes by voice, with Chinese-English dictation and cleanup in supported modes. Available modes and live output depend on the device and version. Cloud recognition, cleanup and translation need internet access; review the result before sending.

Microphone behavior is platform-specific; processing stays local when supported.

  • Local and cloud processing depend on the mode

Local recognition requires a supported device and mode, with the necessary model ready. Cloud recognition, smart cleanup and translation need internet access and send the audio or text required for the request. See the permissions notice for microphone behavior.

  • Content and model training

We do not use your voice or text to train MurMur-owned models. Third-party processing follows the applicable contracts and policies; see our privacy notice and third-party services list.

  • History is local by default

History and personal vocabulary stay on your device. Cross-device cloud sync is not currently offered.

Questions you might have

Can I use MurMur yet?

Yes. MurMur is available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. Open the download center for the official store links and the availability of other versions.

Does mixed Chinese and English really work?

Supported modes can handle mixed Chinese-English dictation, but accuracy is not guaranteed. Try a short phrase and check terms, acronyms, names and numbers. Personal vocabulary can help recognition, not replace reviewing the result.

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

It depends on the platform and selected mode. Local modes do not upload audio. A cloud mode sends the audio or text needed to complete that request. A provider may retain limited call data under its terms, security needs, or law, so we do not promise immediate deletion.

Does the microphone stay on all the time?

It depends on the platform. On iOS, enabling Voice Standby keeps the microphone and audio session active and plays silent audio so the keyboard can trigger dictation in the background; standby audio is not saved or uploaded, and a tap starts the actual recording until you tap again to stop. Android and macOS activate the microphone only during a voice-input or dictation session, release it when that session ends, the mode changes, or the keyboard is hidden, and do not use standby keep-alive.

Which platforms are supported?

iOS and Android are available through the App Store and Google Play. Check the download center for macOS, Windows, and Android APK availability.

Will it cost money?

The free plan includes 2,000 smart-mode characters per week, resetting every Monday at 08:00 Beijing time. Local recognition on iOS and Android also uses the free allowance; unlimited local recognition applies to supported macOS modes. Pro subscriptions start billing immediately and renew automatically, with no free trial. Check the pricing page and your purchase channel for platform availability, price and tax.
